Sunday, February 21, 2010 Survivor: Brunei (Season Premiere and Season Finale) Sorry for the inactiveness of this blog these few days. Just don't feel like updating anything yet. Lol. Whoa, the trip to Brunei has finally come to an end. Only one word to describe it - Siong! Upon our arrival to the camp, we were hammered by one activities non-stop (well, at least 75% of the time). We were faced with the challenge to be given with something to do almost every single time. The first few days were already enough to drain our souls... lectures till night, getting ourselves tired and dirty through field training in the day, especially the lesson on crossing water obstacles. It was conducted in Sungei Batu Apoi. The water was like super muddy. Once we crosses over to the far bank, we were told that we have to cross back to the other side. Omg sia... Crossing once was already enough to make you go for a thorough bath, but twice! Trainings aside, we were faced with another dilema... The reveille time kept getting earlier! Even as early as 4.15am. How to have enough rest man... Succeeding those day trainings were 3 outfield exercises. I would not dwell much into detail here, cause later scarly kena charged for leaking restricted information. The last exercise really made me felt that I was going on a death march... Hours and hours to nature walk. The load was really heavy and I was walking like an ultra-zombified monster. Thanks for all those who have helped me in one way or another, cause without you all, I would have become an ultra-dead monster. Once we stepped back into the gates of our camp, we were extremely relieved and happy. Training was over! However, there were still many admin stuff to do, such as cleaning of stores, etc. The last few days in Brunei proved to be challenging in another way - time passed very slowly! All of us were looking forward to step back into the lion city and had enough of training there. In the wee hours of 31 Jan 2010, we embarked on our flight back to Singapore. Survivor: Brunei had finally draw to a close! Most importantly - WE SURVIVED!!!!! |
